Parties wishing to avoid the delays, high costs, publicity and ill-will that can be associated with litigation have the opportunity to choose mediation, a more peaceful, inexpensive, and expedient alternative to traditional litigation.
Mediation is an opportunity to keep the decision-making where it belongs--between the parties who are in dispute. A mediator assists the parties in identifying issues and discussing them in an environment which is confidential, private, and safe.
Linda McLain's only business is mediation. She is a TBLS Board Certified (Family Law) Attorney (1996 - to date), and the only Board-Certified attorney-mediator whose practice is located in the Brazos Valley.
Being a full-time attorney-mediator requires a commitment to excellent reasoning, creative problem-solving, and intuitive peace-making abilities. Because of her unique training, experience, and qualifications, McLain Mediation Services offers the flexibility of personalized mediation services which address the specific needs and interests of each party, recognizing that every case is different.
McLain has been a licensed attorney since 1989, and has been Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Family Law since 1996. She is recognized as a "Distinguished Credentialed Mediator" by the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association and is a Past President of the Texas State Bar Alternative Dispute Council. To date, she has successfully mediated well over 4,000 cases and is a frequent speaker at continuing education courses for attorney-mediators, both in Texas and on a national conference level.
